The 61st session of the Nevada legislative passed an act that provides the governor the ability to appoint members as well as outline term limits for the state board of Oriental medicine.

“The state board of Oriental medicine, consisting of five members appointed by the governor, is hereby created. 2. [The governor shall appoint the members as soon as feasible after April 19, 1973. Their terms shall be as follows:a) Two members shall hold office for 1 year; 3. The governor shall appoint persons to fill vacancies for the remainder of an unexpired term. 4. Each member of the board shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, take the oath of office prescribed by the constitution before someone qualified to administer oaths.”
