The 59th session of the Nevada legislative passed an act relating to professions and occupations (including Oriental medicine); requiring physicians and certain others to report to law enforcement agencies whenever patients appear to have nonaccidental knife or firearm injuries; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

“As used in this chapter, “provider of health care” means a physician or surgeon, dentist, licensed nurse, dispensing optician, optometrist, registered physical therapist, podiatrist, licensed psychologist, osteopath, chiropractor, doctor of traditional Oriental medicine in any form, medical laboratory director or technician, or a licensed hospital as the employer of any such person.”
