Join OCA Las Vegas and get involved with one of the largest Asian American and Pacific Islander organizations in the United States. OCA Las Vegas was founded on July 4, 1998 and is one of 50 chapters across the United States helping to embrace the hopes and aspirations of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through various programs and events, some of which include:

  • Membership drive mixers and workshops/panels
  • Volunteering and networking opportunities
  • Mentorship Program for high school and college students (both undergraduate and graduate) and young professionals who have recently graduated

We are open to everyone in southern Nevada and offer individual, student, senior, and family memberships.

What does OCA stand for?

“OCA” originally stood for “Organization of Chinese Americans”. Over time, however, the organization has grown to include Asian American and Pacific Islanders and now goes by “OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates”.

When was OCA Las Vegas created?

One of 50 U.S. chapters of OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates, OCA Las Vegas was formed in 1998 and has since worked hard to meet the needs of the growing AAPI population in Las Vegas.

Is OCA Las Vegas a 501c3 or DEI organization?

Yes! OCA has been recognized as a 501c3, as well as a DEI organization advocating for a diverse workplace within its many corporate partners.

What is the difference between OCA Las Vegas and OCA National?

OCA Las Vegas one of the 50 nationwide chapters under OCA National. While OCA National focuses on policy work that can make broad impacts across the country, local chapters, like OCA Las Vegas, are focused on making direct impact to our communities. When you join OCA Las Vegas as a member, you will also get updates and newsletters from OCA National.

What should I expect once I join OCA Las Vegas?

You’ll be receive notifications via email of upcoming events and programs that you can participate in. You are able to determine the amount of time you choose to invest into community or be involved with the organization.

Where does my membership fee go toward?

A portion of your membership fee will go toward member registration costs, while the rest will help fund programs for OCA Las Vegas.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?
