ACP: Connecting Low-Income Households to Affordable Internet Services

OCA Las Vegas - Advocate with Us

In 2021, President Joe Biden signed the Infrastructure and Jobs Act that introduced the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which focuses on connecting families and households to affordable internet services to ensure families and households get the internet access they need for work, school, healthcare, and more.

In collaboration with OCA National and in partnership with Cox Communications, Brianna Pascua and Paulo Dela Cruz represented OCA Las Vegas as our 2023 – 2024 ACP Outreach Fellows. Through local AAPI events and flyer distribution, they provided valuable awareness and resources to the Las Vegas community.

“I had no clue about the ACP program. Now, I can share this extremely helpful resource with the families we work with. It’s going to help a lot of students that don’t have the privilege of having a tablet or internet access like their peers.” – At-Risk Children and Families Advocate

“As an immigration lawyer, I see how ACP can be a crucial resource for families facing communication and access issues. Big kudos to [OCA] for making sure everyone knows about this essential resource.” – Immigration Lawyer
