The 5th session of the Nevada Legislature, law was passed to prohibit Chinese labor for road work. See the excerpt below.
“Chinese labor shall not be employed on said road or roads in constructing the same, or after it, or their completion in any manner whatever, under the penalty of forfeiture of the right of way, by the corporations or associations or persons owning the said road or roads, to the State of Nevada.”
