CREATING CHANGE IN LAS VEGAS

The third annual OCA Las Vegas 88 Fund honored several individuals who have helped make changes for the community of Southern Nevada through the work that they do in their own fields. This annual event was held at the Mandalay Bay Beach Club with the theme, “Aloha”. All proceeds of this event goes towards funding the OCA Mentorship program for college student. An annual program by OCA Las Vegas to assist college students understanding more about their careers through mentors.

This year’s OCA Las Vegas 88 Fund had also introduced a new award called the “Pat Albert” award in honor of Dr. Pat Albert who have helped mentor every year in the OCA Las Vegas’s mentorship program.

This year’s honors who received the OCA Las Vegas ICON Award were:
Lawrence Barnard
Lawrence Barnard is the President/CEO of Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican, San Martín. He was a former U.S. Army Captain and have been in management roles in various health industries. He was formerly the CEO of University Medical Center of Southern Nevada.

Maggie Hsu
Maggie Hsu is an adivsor for Zappos, an online shoe and clothing shop based in Las Vegas, Nevada with a unique business culture. She also manages the Downtown Project and also is the co-founder of Mochi Magazine, an online quarterly magazine and daily blog for Asian American young women.

Catherine Siefert
Catherine Siefert is the Vice President of Hotel Operations at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino. She has bee involved with various industries and hotels such as Walmart, Treasure Island, and Bellagio.

Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s OCA Las Vegas 88 Fund. All proceeds will be utilized to support OCA Las Vegas’s mentorship program.
